Odorless Outdoor Toilets

The Tanks-A-Lot system is specially designed for outdoor toilets where low maintenance and odor-free operation are desired. Special internal configuration of the tank combined with solar/wind or ac powered vents ensure an oxygen rich holding area for composting action and the resulting elimination of unpleasant odor.

With this specially designed tank, human waste plus added leaves or brown grass clippings decompose on a properly fixed grate and vented air passes in and around the mass. This oxygen rich environment promotes a composting action resulting in only 5 to 10 per cent of the original volume left as non-offensive easily removed soil.

A flush system is incorporated to remove any buildup of compost.
The precast concrete holding tanks can handle approximately 5,000 uses every six month season if installed and used as instructed. For the composting action to take place and for odor-free operation one of the self-venting systems must be installed and be in good working order.

An option of the system is anchor bolts molded right into the tank, which enable the customer to design a covering structure to inconspicuously blend into the surroundings.

These systems have been in use for 15 years in parks, villages, towns, golf courses, campground and at private cottages.

For areas that require a toilet over the long term, the Tanks-A-Lot system by far outweighs the alternatives. Over a period of five years a permanent odorless outdoor tank is more economic and it does not smell.
