Sewage Treatment Plants
Tanks-A-Lot was the first distributor of residential-scale sewage treatment plants in Alberta. Using process technology proven reliable over decades of use in large municipal plants, the Singulair® is the most popular product of its kind in Western Canada. Northern climate performance has been demonstrated for over 15 years, including thousands of sites from the Montana border all the up to Baffin Island. The Singulair® is designed by Norweco and manufactured under license in Western Canada by Tanks-A-Lot.
The Singulair® advanced wastewater treatment plant is rated as NSF 40, Class 1, which means that it complies with all regulatory requirements. The treated effluent is a clear, odorless liquid which is often disposed of using an ‘at-grade’ distribution system in a naturally treed area on the homeowner’s property. With over 90% of the organic content having been eliminated, the homeowner is in effect watering his trees with a phosphorous and nitrate enriched solution.
Although the current regulations in Alberta do not directly contemplate at-grades, most counties in Alberta grant code variances to allow installation. Municipalities such as Strathcona County and much of the Peace Country have recognized that advanced wastewater treatment and at-grade distribution is the best solution for their difficult soils. Other counties with significant surface water, such as County of Lac St. Anne, require advanced wastewater treatment plants rather than septic systems within specified distances of certain water bodies.
The Singulair® advanced wastewater treatment plant is renowned for its low operating cost, high efficiency, and high reliability. This product is only sold through Certified Singulair® Dealers. Call us today for an introduction to Certified Singulair® Dealers near you.
